Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot

John Callahan was 21 when he got into an accident that made him quadriplegic. He was an alcoholic since he was underage which somehow led him into such accident. Through the autobiography Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot, he told his truth about his family and childhood, his addiction of alcohol, the accident, the downward spiral life, and the revelation.
The book, that has been made into a film starring Joaquin Phoenix, Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara and Jack Black, is such a light reading book. There are several times, I was questioning, is it for real? But yes, it's definitely a real thing that had happened to the author, who was known as a popular cartoonist. He taught the readers that life sometimes out of hand, but once you set what do you really want to do, do it passionately. As a handicapped, it didn't stop him to find his true meaning of life, it was his mind and ignorance, so he set his mind right. That was his moment of revelation.
I recommend this book for you who are still searching for hope.
