Season 2 of Bridgerton, Are You Really Excited?

Lady Whistledown might turn you down with the shocking news that the Duke of Hastings has decided not to return to neither London nor Clyvedon anymore.
Yes, a couple days ago, many of Bridgerton fans are upset because Rege-Jean Page, actor who played character Simon Basset (Duke of Hastings) in Bridgerton announced that he'll no longer take part in the series. Nevertheless, is it actually necessary to make a further continuation of the series?

Foremost, I don't intend playing with the fire here. Bridgerton, the original Netflix series, has been welcomed with great enthusiasm. The series reached its peak with great critics and reviews.

It is about the eight siblings of Bridgerton who lives in a society that upholds reputation to its core. Daphne Bridgerton is just turning to the age where she could find her husband. Balls to balls, dance floor to dance floor, just to find his true one. But her brother, Anthony Bridgerton,  is being picky and instead of being a man of the household replacing their late father, he becomes a gruesome and protective brother when it comes to her sister. Until one day, the Duke of Hastings makes his way back to London and becomes the center of every mother's attention. They won't let the Duke to breath a free air instead they try to pair him with their daughters. After one night of incident, Daphne and Simon finally talk and meet to some agreement to pretend they're in courting. In result, Daphne gets all the attention back from the males and Simon can avoid his hunters.

The story revolves around these two young woman and man and Daphne's brothers and sisters who are also making their way to find their love and life.
So, until the end of episode 8. Is it really necessary to extend the series? Personally, I don't think so. It's spoiler friendly, no worries. I think they got decent ending. Everyone is taking their own path and overcomes their obstacles. Even Lady Whistledown is going on with her life. Thus I think everyone has settled quite well and there's no need further drama.
