Enola Holmes!

The fact that the notorious British detective Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) has a brother is already well known. But a sister? Yes, Sherlock hasn't got only Mycroft Holmes (Sam Claflin) but also a little sister named Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown). Both of Enola's brothers has never come back home ever since they left it. She is raised single handedly by their mother, Eudoria. Having a very great adventure, experiments and lessons inside home, Enola never knows how the world works outside. She always feels comfortable as long as her mother is close to her.

But one day, her mother is gone. Leaving and say nothing to her beforehand. She calls out her not-so-close-at-all brothers, both Sherlock and Mycroft. Instead of having to trace and finding her mother, her oldest brother tries to take her to a finishing school. She is strongly denied the idea and tries to escape from home by taking a train where she meets Tewkesburry (Louis Patridge) who is apparently also runaway from home. Destiny leads them to have a short journey together but Enola decides an immediate part ways in London. 

There, she discovers the unraveling truth about her mother whom she always hopes shed any cipher through newspaper. At the time being, she disguises herself as a Victorian girl in order to outwit her brothers. All her searching journey isn't only giving her the truth about her mother but also leading her into an unexpected investigatory of Tewkesburry's case which brings out her true identity as a detective, just like her brother. 

It's a movie that perfectly match for a young adult. Breaking out the rules as a young woman in Victorian era, deciphering her mother's truth, seeking love and acceptance from her brother and most importantly discovering herself are the journey that Enola will take you throughout the story (yes, she talks to us!). And not to forget, the slightest and sparks between Enola and Tewkesburry will give a little bit romance inside it. Enola Holmes is now available on Netflix starting from September 23, 2020.
