Despite first published over 70 years ago, Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends & Influence People is still the most relevant book guiding in human relations.
This recommended and well-known book is already intrigued me ever since I found it in somewhere on the internet. Then I saw Jessica Lee character in Vagabond series reading this book while she was put up in jail. The biggest trigger was when I watched an episode of Good Doctor in which Shaun reads this book to help him communicate better with other people especially his patients.
The book is divided into four parts namely fundamental techniques in handling people, six ways to make people like you, how to win people to your way of thinking and be a leader (how to change people without giving offense or arousing resentment. Revised edition consists of 276 pages but surely the book is easy to understand and straight to the points. This will be a good guidance for people who want to develop their human relations skill and precisely for those in business.
In a nutshell, it will be a great challenge to implement all the principles offered by the author. Yet i know for sure, Dale Carnegie is telling the truth when he said if I won't to give it a try it means that the my own blocking wall still stands firm.
